What this service is
WaterFilterHelp.ca is an independent Canadian matching service. We publish testing and treatment information, then — if you ask — introduce you to one installer covering your postal code. We do not auction your details to a list of competing companies.
What we ask providers to confirm
- Licensing appropriate to the work they offer in that province
- Liability insurance, and WSIB or equivalent where it applies
- Manufacturer training or certification for the systems they install, when relevant
- CWQA membership or WQA credentials where they hold them — we look for this; we do not invent it
- A service area they can actually reach
Coverage
A city page is only useful if someone can take the job. If we cannot match a qualified installer, we will say so rather than invent a storefront. Rural and cottage addresses may have longer travel windows than a downtown postal code.
What matching does not promise
- We are not your laboratory, public-health authority or engineer of record
- We do not guarantee a price, a specific brand, or a health outcome
- Guides and tools are general information, not personal treatment advice
- The installer still has to inspect the site, read your lab report and quote in writing
Commercial relationship
When a match is made, we may be paid by the contractor for a qualified introduction. That is disclosed so you can weigh the information on this site the same way you would any commercially supported directory. Editorial pages still cite Health Canada, NSF and municipal sources where we make factual claims.
